TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

TabTrade - The Short Version

TabTrade went live in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.

What You Trade On

You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That should round things out when it lands.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade does not.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.

Execution Speed

This is the area where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.

Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail that matters. Tab Trade is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. But be part of how you think about it.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You put money in, TabTrade credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
